Dave, there's a branding issue happening here. Your subscribers have signed up to receive information about the snow conditions at Whistler. The Powder Picker reigns supreme in his accurate prognostications about upcoming pow days.

But what's happening lately is that you are using the Powder Picker platform to share perspectives about weather and climate in the general realm, not snow conditions as they relate to Whistler. As a paid subscriber, this change of strategy confuses me.

The weather forecasting challenges you see happening outside of the Powder Picker domain are not why I signed on. It leaves me confused. Is this a platform to rant about weather-related injustices? Because it's not what I signed on for.

If you aim to increase paid subscriptions for the powder picker, does it not make sense to find another platform to provide constructive feedback to CBC's weather observations?

Just asking.

Excellent question Perry. I have been thinking about this all day. The luvly Karen’s response when I read your note to her over dinner: “I could not have said that better myself. And I have, many times!”

Women eh?!

There is a lot of ground to cover here and I want to hear from subscribers. Tomorrow I will have more to say…

Cheers,

Meteorologist David Jones, The Whistler Powder Picker

Perry, would you (and others who might be thinking your thoughts) be happier if I separated my new series and all similar content into a second channel where the email notifications bypass you?

I think I can do this easily...

The vast majority of the feedback I receive on the climate stuff is positive but you are paing the freight so I need to keep you and others happy!
