I thought the linked rebuttal to their only germaine point was pretty good. Besides, as far as I can see, the models have been creepily accurate. YOu can still get Jeremy Rifkin's book, "entropy" written in the 1980s, that made sense to me at the time. "Accross the west, wildfires burn for months on end" "Canada will be overrun". etc... From the front cover at the time. I have a copy but I can't find it. You can't create order without creating disorder, in accord with the second law. so the more we speed things up, the worse it gets bacically, unless we get a hell of a whole lot more efficient, and burning fossil fuels ain't efficient at all.
