You mentioned before that you predict no more snow this season, but we just got around 20cm at the stake on the Whistler webcam. Could you explain what happened and were you referring to the end of chairlift season perhaps?
Yes. Just until closing day. Recall I said there was not complete agreement but I was making the call anyway? Did that on purpose. Turned out there was a little fresh at PA prior to closing. Will use it as an example of why making predictions in the midst of model disagreement is perilous...
Welcome to the Pacific coast mountains. This happens. I have seen snow out-of-nowhere in the middle of summer. Once got caught in a snowstorm on the Coquilhalla August long weekend.
It is for this reason, that once must always be fully equipped when hiking in the mountains, no matter how warm and sunny it might be in the valley.
